About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Senior Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives within Ghana's Facilities Management (FM) sector. This role requires an expert with a strong understanding of the Ghanaian market dynamics, proven business development success, and the ability to identify and leverage market gaps. The ideal candidate will drive strategies to expand market presence, foster client relationships, and generate substantial revenue growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, potential opportunities, and competitive positioning in the Ghanaian FM sector.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans that align with company objectives and address identified market needs.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
  • Identify, engage, and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, government entities, and other potential partners.
  • Lead negotiations, develop tailored service proposals, and manage client onboarding to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Revenue Growth & Profitability:
  • Implement growth strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and drive profitability across multiple service lines.
  • Actively seek opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling services to existing clients.
  • Leadership & Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business development team members to strengthen overall team performance.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the Ghanaian FM industry or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ghanaian FM market, with a robust network of industry contacts.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, growing market share, and generating revenue growth.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing successful business development strategies in the African market.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools used in business development.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local Ghanaian languages is highly advantageous.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyse and present complex financial data to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Ghana and occasionally to other African countries.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in Facilities Management.
