Job Summary
As part of the company’s sales team, the Sales Account Owner is responsible for driving revenue, managing, and growing relationships with our customers base by: Managing in-person sales activities, managing & developing accounts and promoting lines services in developing the customers’ accounts. Generating leads, setting & monitoring visits plans, meeting clients and delivering sales presentations, Identifying and Evaluating client’s needs & providing tailored solutions, providing quotes and securing profitable agreements and attending seminars & conferences, providing sales forecasting & planning.
This role typically involves both sales and account management responsibilities, growing relationships with the customers to understand their business needs to provide tailored solutions to achieve revenue targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Continuously driving and increasing import and export sales volumes with targeted sales actions.
- Identifying new business opportunities, monitor market trends, maintain current customers portfolio, and explore potential new prospects for both Import and Exports business.
- Ensure excellent communication with customers and others functional departments throughout the sales processes from quotation/agreement until shipment well-booked and secured on-board vessels.
- Instill marketing lead culture/spirit throughout the daily work and organization and ensure proper reporting.
- Conduct regular sale visits to new and existing customers to maintain and develop the company’s customer portfolio and ensure timeline and accurate reporting
- Create and execute customers’ account development plans that align with company’s business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze client performance metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement and revenue’s growth.
- Develop and present proposals, product demonstrations, and sales presentations.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on accounts status, sales forecasts, and progress towards targets.
- Address and resolve client issues or complaints promptly and professionally in collaboration with customer service team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in maritime, shipping, business administration, Communication, Marketing, or any related disciplines.
- Between 3-5 years prior experience in similar capacity.
- Strong relationship management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of written and spoken in English and local languages.
- Proficiency in additional foreign languages like Chinese, Spanish would be an advantage
- Competent in Microsoft office, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Web-based and email programs.
- Motivated to generate and increase sales while delivering top-notch customer care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good Knowledge of Ghana shipping Industry trend.
