Job Summary
The Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the school.
The position ensures that all non-academic operations run efficiently, supporting the school’s mission to provide a world-class educational experience. This includes managing facilities, staff, procurement, and logistical needs to create a safe and productive learning environment for students and staff.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in an educational or international setting.
- Proven experience managing teams and budgets.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with operational management tools.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Facility Management
- Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and security of school facilities, including classrooms, offices, and grounds.
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, and facility upgrades as needed.
- Ensure that all facilities meet health, safety, and compliance standards.
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
2. Administrative Oversight
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of non-academic staff, including administrative personnel, maintenance staff, security, and support teams.
- Monitor inventory and ensure the timely procurement of supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Support the scheduling and planning school events, activities, and logistics.
3. Budget and Resource Management
- Assist in preparing and managing the school’s operational budget.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
4. Health and Safety
- Ensure the school’s compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and oversee emergency response plans, including fire drills and lockdown procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
5. Technology and Infrastructure
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of technology systems.
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of school infrastructure and utilities.
6. Transportation and Logistics
- Manage school transportation, including bus schedules, routes, and vehicle maintenance.
- Coordinate logistics for field trips, extracurricular activities, and events.
