We’re looking for a creative, resourceful, and hyper-organized generalist who sees the big picture and knows how to bring it to life. You’ll be deeply invested in our mission, shaping strategy while jumping into action to make every program meaningful and impactful, all with an eye for detail and a passion for using the arts to spark real change.
The Role:
As our Operations Director, you will be a key driver in advancing our nonprofit’s mission by overseeing and optimizing program execution, operations, and media outreach. In this strategic role, you will provide oversight across all programs, with an immediate focus on expanding the reach and impact of our sexual health education program during the first year. You’ll collaborate closely with the CEO to expand our media presence and streamline day-to-day operations to ensure seamless execution across all initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Shape and Implement Program Strategies: Oversee and improve end-to-end program development and execution, from researching and sourcing talent to procuring materials and running residencies and events.
- Strengthen Media and PR Initiatives: Oversee public relations and communication efforts, including preparing press releases, reports, and media outreach to increase visibility and community engagement
- Support Grant Writing and Fundraising: Assist with securing funding by contributing to grant applications, developing proposals, and nurturing relationships with funders to ensure sustainable program growth.
- Optimize Operational Efficiency: Manage the organization’s daily operations, establish streamlined workflows, and drive improvements to ensure effective resource allocation across all projects.
- Develop and Execute Innovative Ideas: Collaborate with the CEO to identify and implement new program ideas, partnerships, and growth opportunities that align with our mission and impact goals.
You are likely a good fit if:
You have 3+ years of experience in program management, nonprofit operations, or a related field with an emphasis on impact-driven work.- You are skilled in media, PR, and communications, with a strong understanding of content creation and audience engagement.
- You’re experienced in grant writing, fundraising, or partnership development for nonprofits.
- You possess excellent organizational skills, are adept at multitasking, and can prioritize multiple projects effectively
- .You’re a strategic thinker who can translate big ideas into actionable steps, with an eye for operational efficiency and resourcefulness
- .You communicate well and collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders
