Job Overview:
The CEO of the insurance brokerage firm will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight. The individual will be responsible for driving the company’s growth, profitability, and sustainability while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Vision:
o Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan, aligning with the firm's mission, vision, and values.
o Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to enhance the firm's growth and market share.
2. Financial Management:
o Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the firm's profitability and financial health.
o Work with the Finance Manager to manage expenses, optimize revenue streams, and achieve financial targets.
3. Business Development:
o Drive business growth through the development of new insurance products and services.
o Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, insurance carriers, and partners.
4. Operations Management:
o Ensure efficient and effective operations, including client services, claims management, underwriting, and risk management.
o Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
5. Compliance & Risk Management:
o Ensure the firm adheres to all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical practices.
o Establish risk management frameworks to safeguard the firm’s assets, reputation, and clients' interests.
6. Team Leadership & Development:
o Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. o Promote employee engagement, training, and development to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
7. Stakeholder Management:
o Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company and maintain strong relationships with shareholders, clients, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
o Present regular performance reports and strategic updates to the Board of Directors.
8. Market Analysis & Competitive Strategy:
o Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging risks to adapt strategies accordingly.
o Utilize data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
9. Corporate Governance:
o Ensure that the company operates with integrity, transparency, and accountability, in line with corporate governance best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field (Master’s degree/MBA preferred).
• Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) Diploma or a professional insurance qualification equivalent to ACII Diploma
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability in an insurance brokerage or related field.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, claims management, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in strategic planning, financial management, and operational leadership.
