Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and dedicated individual to join our preschool team as Vice Principal. The Vice Principal will work closely with the Principal, providing leadership, guidance, and support to staff, students, and parents. This position is responsible for fostering a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that aligns with the preschool’s mission and values. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, an understanding of early childhood development, and the ability to support the operational and instructional leadership of the preschool. They should be passionate about working with young children and committed to maintaining high educational and care standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Administrative Leadership:
- Assist the Principal in the overall management and administration of the preschool.
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring a safe and effective environment for students and staff.
- Coordinate school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other school-wide initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to early childhood education, licensing, and safety.
Instructional Leadership:
- Support teachers in curriculum planning, classroom management, and professional development.
- Collaborate with the Principal to develop, implement, and monitor instructional programs that meet the developmental needs of all students.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in teaching.
- Provide ongoing observation, coaching, and feedback to teaching staff to enhance instructional practices.
Staff Supervision and Support:
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new staff members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote a positive work culture by addressing concerns and fostering teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Serve as a mentor and guide to teachers, encouraging professional growth and best practices.
Parent and Community Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between parents and the school, maintaining open lines of communication.
- Address and resolve parent concerns in a timely, respectful, and effective manner.
- Organize parent workshops, orientations, and events to engage families in their child’s learning and development.
- Foster strong partnerships with the local community to enhance resources and opportunities for the preschool.
- Brainstorm and lead holiday/themed day events
Student Support and Well-being:
- Ensure that the physical, social, emotional, and academic needs of all students are being met.
- Monitor and support individual student progress, working with teachers and parents to develop intervention plans if needed.
- Address behavioral concerns in a positive and constructive manner, focusing on social- emotional learning and conflict resolution.
Operational Management:
- Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Ensure the school is well-maintained and that health and safety standards are met at all times.
- Work with the Principal to manage enrollment and recruitment efforts.
- Lead efforts in maintaining the school’s accreditation and licensure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or administrative role.
- In-depth knowledge of early childhood development and curriculum planning.
- Strong understanding of child care licensing and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, parents, and the community.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with performance evaluations, staff training, and professional development.
- Proficiency in using technology for administrative tasks, including student information systems and Microsoft Office and Excel.
- First-Aid Certified
