Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Fleet Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and overall vehicle efficiency.
  • Schedule regular inspections and maintain detailed vehicle records.


Logistics Coordination:

  • Plan and coordinate transportation schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Manage the distribution and allocation of resources, such as vehicles and drivers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods or services.


Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all vehicles and drivers comply with safety standards and transport regulations.
  • Organize training programs for drivers on road safety and operational protocols.
  • Handle incidents, accidents, and insurance claims as necessary.


Personnel Management:

  • Supervise and manage transport staff, including drivers and support personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews and address staff concerns.


Budget Management:

  • Monitor transportation costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare budgets and manage expenses within allocated limits.


Communication and Reporting:

  • Act as a liaison between management, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and prepare regular reports.


Problem-Solving:

  • Resolve logistical challenges to minimize disruptions.
  • Develop contingency plans for emergencies or unexpected changes.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in transportation or logistics management.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and transport regulations is a plus.


Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license
