Our client, a reputable logistics organization is currently looking for a highly qualified individual for the position of Transport Officer - Fleet

Job Description/Requirements
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Track deliveries of various tracks, fuel, and maintenance checks
- Coordinate the movement of tracks and light vehicles
- Prepare financial plans for vehicle maintenance and service to maximize profit and reduce loss
- Reduce on-road disputes whiles maintaining a cordial relationship between drivers and persons involved
- Manage staff (drivers) and create work schedules for drivers and mates to prevent absenteeism and or poor working attitudes
- Schedule operations and route management
- Ensure the appropriate use, maintenance and repair of all light vehicles and trucks
- Produce weekly and monthly fuel and vehicle use report
- Train, monitor and supervise drivers
- Constantly communicating with drivers through their respective assigned journey
- Evaluate driver performance, allocating and rotating appropriate work assignments
- Ensure driver, mate ratio is accurate
- Ensure that all drivers and mates have valid licenses
- Ensure that all drivers and workers comply with all transport laws and regulations
- Track truck tires with respective trucks, when, who, serial number etc.
- Ensure vehicle insurance, road worthy and income tax are valid
- Coordinate the acquisition of fuel for trucks
- Submitting comprehensive monthly report on vehicle movement, fuel use and problems
- Any other duty as assigned by management
Required Skills:
Education / Experience
- HND or Degree logistics, procurement, shipping management, transport management or business administration
- 1-3 years’ work and industry experience
- Experience in fleet management with Mechanical Experience preferred

- Must be able to travel when needed

- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
