A Ticketing Officer with Amadeus duties
handles travel and ticketing-related responsibilities for travel agencies, airlines, or other travel service providers.
Responsibilities:
1. Flight Reservations & Bookings:
• Use the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS) to make flight reservations and issue tickets for customers.
• Manage booking changes, cancellations, and refunds.
2. Customer Service:
• Assist customers in selecting flight schedules and itineraries.
• Provide information about fares, promotions, and travel policies.
3. Ticket Issuance & Reissuance:
• Issue, reissue, or void tickets accurately using the Amadeus system.
• Resolve ticketing errors and ensure compliance with airline rules.
4. Fare Calculations & Cost Estimations:
• Calculate and verify ticket costs based on travel itineraries.
• Provide fare quotes and ensure adherence to tariff policies.
5. Problem Resolution:
• Handle booking conflicts, overbooked flights, and travel disruptions.
• Liaise with airlines to resolve ticketing or booking issues.
6. Reporting:
• Maintain daily, weekly, or monthly sales and ticketing reports.
• Track and report on ticket sales and revenue generation.
7. Coordination:
• Work with airlines, travel agents, and corporate clients to manage group bookings and special travel requests.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
8. Customer Support for Travel-Related Services:
• Provide guidance on visa processes, baggage policies, and travel insurance if required.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Amadeus GDS: Hands-on experience with ticketing and reservation processes.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in issuing tickets and calculating fares.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills to assist customers and resolve issues.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Travel Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with IATA codes, airline regulations, and travel policies.
Salary is Ghc 3000-4000
