Job Summary

The Ticketing Officer is responsible for handling ticket sales, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the ticketing process. Main role, ticketing and reservations with the ability to do sales and marketing. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Ticket Sales and Reservations:

  • Process ticket sales using various ticketing systems and software.
  • Assist customers with reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
  • Provide accurate information about pricing, schedules, and availability.
  • Manage group bookings and special requests.


Customer Service:

  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Provide information and assistance regarding events, travel routes, schedules, and policies.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering quality service.


Payment Processing:

  • Handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions securely.
  • Ensure all transactions are completed accurately and receipts are issued.


Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, cancellations, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Monitor ticket inventory and coordinate with management for restocking.


Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Verify the authenticity of tickets and prevent fraud.


Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, for promotions and events.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.


Administrative Tasks:

  • Assist in preparing promotional materials and displays.
  • Support other administrative functions as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge in the Travel and tour industry.
  • Must have a degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Previous experience in ticketing, customer service, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in ticketing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
  • Should be trainable, adaptable, customer friendly, loyal, eloquent etc
