Job Summary

We seek a highly-skilled Technical Specialist to join our BRC project team. This role is crucial for enhancing compliance with SPS, food safety, and regulatory standards and driving the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs across Northern Ghana.

Job Description/Requirements

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct and Analyze Comprehensive Needs Assessments: Identify gaps in SPS, food safety, seed quality, weights, and measures. Develop actionable strategies to address identified needs.
  • Develop and Enforce Quality Standards: Ensure all project activities comply with current SPS,food safety, and regulatory standards. Regularly update and enforce these standards to maintain compliance.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Lead the creation and implementation of tailored training programs. Develop, revise, and ensure the accuracy of training modules. Facilitate practical training sessions for various market actors and OB networks.
  • Community Engagement and Public Awareness: Organize and lead public-private dialogue and community-level awareness campaigns to promote best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic Project Leadership: Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to enhance training effectiveness and compliance adherence. Provide periodic reports and recommendations based on the latest data and project outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Agriculture, Food Safety, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in SPS, food safety, regulatory compliance, and adult training.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently in remote locations.
