Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:
- Create and carry out strategic sales programs and day-to-day related tasks to increase our market share and meet sales targets.
- Find and create new business prospects through prospecting, lead qualification, and sales closing.
- Track and report on all KPIs developed and agreed upon with the General Manager.
- Ensure the CRM is populated on time and kept up to date regularly to enable accurate forecasting.
- Develop and track a detailed and accurate forecast for all opportunities over one, three, and twelve months.
- Ensure that all monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets are achieved.
- Champion customer centricity by establishing and maintaining an excellent relationship with existing and potential clients to understand their demands and offer matching solutions.
- Coordinate with the Service Team to deliver the best-in-market experience to the customer.
- To always reflect a professional image for the company, in terms of appearance, behaviour, function, and attitude towards the job and customers.
Technical Support:
- Understand analytical techniques and instrumentation, particularly the chemistry utilised within these applications.
- Provide first-level technical and application support to customers, including product presentations, demonstrations, and training.
- Guide customers in selecting the appropriate analytical instruments based on their applications and requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in the industry and develop strategies to remain the market leader.
- Manage technical support for all pre-sales activities.
Customer Support:
- Address customer inquiries and technical issues promptly, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Service Team to ensure timely installation, maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting to provide the best customer experience.
- Conduct customer training sessions and workshops to enhance user proficiency and maximise the value of our products.
Market Research:
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market demands to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Provide feedback to the product managers based on customer insights and market observations.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our solutions and network with key stakeholders.
Qualification & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. An advanced degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the analytical science industry or experience working in a modern analytical laboratory setup.
- Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel more than 30% of his/ her time to meet with customers and attend industry events.
- Fluent in English. French is an asset.
