Technical and Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities:

Technical Analysis:

• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and requirements for procurement purposes.
• Collaborate with engineering or operations teams to ensure purchased materials and equipment meet technical standards.
• Conduct technical assessments of suppliers and their products.

Procurement and Sourcing:

• Identify and source technical and non-technical materials, tools, equipment, and services.
• Evaluate supplier proposals based on technical specifications, cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers to achieve the best value.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and service.
• Identify and onboard new vendors to enhance procurement efficiency.

Inventory and Logistics Coordination:

• Monitor stock levels and plan procurement to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of goods.
• Optimize inventory management processes to improve efficiency.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis and savings achieved.

Market Research and Innovation:

• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market pricing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
• Recommend innovative solutions to meet procurement and operational needs.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, and/or Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on technical products or services.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Technical expertise to evaluate and understand machinery, equipment, or specialized materials.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Knowledge of compliance standards in procurement and technical operations.
