Sustainability Sector Manager at Barry Callebaut Group

This role is embedded in the local Sourcing team, directly reporting to the Sustainability Operations Manager. The successful candidate will lead a team of technical officers and coaches to directly implement sustainability programs in our cocoa supply chain. Driving our company digitization and innovations in the day to day activities. The successful candidate will serve as a key link between the field and head office and will be responsible for ensuring company strategy and policies are adhered to. The successful candidate will gain experience in project management in the cocoa sector, people management and other technical topics for professional growth.



Key Responsibilities







Coordinate all program execution within designated sector

Supervise technical officers and coaches

Lead execution of all KPIs (Certification/ Client Program)

Stakeholder Management

Ensure SOPs are followed for all activities

Monitoring and Reporting of activities

Weekly visits to all districts

Ensure 100% of farms mapped and farmers digitally on boarded



About You







BSc. Agriculture or Natural resource management or related field. A masters is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); Intermediate level of excel with basic data analysis

Ability plan, co-ordinate and manage diverse teams in order to achieve results

Good people management skills with strong leadership abilities, problem solving and conflict management skills

Willing to travel 80% of the time and flexible to relocation and transfer to any of our operational areas

Relevant knowledge in sustainability in the cocoa sector

Fluent in English; a local language Twi, a plus

Experience in project management

Able to drive and hold a valid driving license
