Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze structural components for construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Develop detailed structural designs, calculations, and drawings, ensuring they meet project specifications and local codes.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure structural designs integrate seamlessly with other building systems.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, ensuring work complies with approved structural designs.
• Perform structural assessments and risk analyses to identify potential design flaws or safety issues.
• Provide recommendations for material selection, load-bearing capacity, and structural stability.
• Oversee the preparation of structural reports and documentation, including calculations, specifications, and design drawings.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure that the structural components are completed on time and within budget.
• Address any structural concerns or challenges that arise during the construction phase.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure the effective implementation of design plans and resolve any issues that arise.
• Ensure that all work complies with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as health and safety standards.

Qualification and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. -Master's degree or relevant certifications in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience in designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of residential, commercial, or industrial structures.
• Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, SAP2000).
• Strong knowledge of building codes, structural standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
• Strong understanding of materials science and construction methods.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. -Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
