Role Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Strategy and Investor Relations Lead to join our team at CalBank. This role will be pivotal in shaping our strategic direction, conducting industry research, and managing our relationships with investors and stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Strategy Development and Implementation:
- Conduct comprehensive industry research to inform strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine corporate strategy
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment
- Implement strategic initiatives and track their progress
2. Investor Relations:
- Serve as the primary liaison between CalBank and its investors, analysts, and shareholders
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the investment community
- Prepare and deliver presentations for investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows
- Manage investor inquiries and ensure timely and accurate responses
3. Performance Reporting:
- Develop and maintain a robust strategy performance reporting system
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic objectives
- Present performance results to the board and senior management
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions
4. Board Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive board reports on strategy, performance, and market positioning
- Attend board meetings to present findings and answer questions
- Ensure board members are well-informed about the bank's strategic direction and performance
5. Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial statements and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure alignment between financial and strategic objectives
- Provide financial insights to support investor communications and board reporting
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in strategy, finance, or investor relations roles
- Proven track record in conducting industry research and competitive analysis
- Strong understanding of financial statements and performance metrics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field
- Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) courses or certifications
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Previous experience in investor relations
- Knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques
