Job Description/Requirements
MSI’s goal is to meet the needs of the underserved and dramatically improve access to the use of family planning and other reproductive health services. MSIG is part of Marie Stopes International’s Global Partnership, which operates in over 43 countries worldwide.
The job holder will support the Stores Officer to ensure that the day to day operations of the store’s function are carried out in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
The stores activities include receiving, storage and disbursement of commodities.
The Stores Assistant is also responsible for supporting the maintenance and protection of MSIG’s inventory and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports with the management of all commodities, materials, contraceptives medical instrument and supplies in stores (i.e., drugs and non-drugs)
- Checks and receives all items and commodities for proper storage
- Assists with scheduled routine and regular commodity supply to centres.
- Processes documents and transactions for all stores receipts, issues, returns, adjustments etc. upon authorisation and approval from relevant and appropriate quarters.
- Assists and liaises with regulatory bodies for disposal of expired, obsolete, unserviceable and scrap items. .
- Conducts routine and on the spot stock counts at various MSIG centres and outreaches
Qualification Required & Experience
- HND in stores management or accounting or any related field
- ACCA Part I or END in Accountancy will be an advantage.
Experience/Skills
- At least 2 years post qualification practical experience in a similar position – Good spoken and written English language skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel are required)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Analytical and results oriented; Honest and accurate; Mature and reliable
- Ability to manage and works independently and efficiently
- Ability to work under pressure
- Pro-Choice.
