Job Summary

Planview’s growing Professional Services team has an exciting opportunity for an Engagement Manager. Qualified candidates are part of the consulting team in a key role that links Planview’s core value streams to ensure value is delivered to our customers. Employees in this role serve as customer-facing domain experts to deliver Planview products and services to customers. They will be implementing multiple Planview solutions (Project Portfolio Management and Agile Portfolio Management) to our customers. In this role, they will work to understand the client’s desired environment, methodologies, processes and portfolio/program management approach, in order to assist the customer with the design of the solution. They are accountable for the implementation of the customer’s needs for their specific solution from start to finish and to ensure the customer can meet their business outcomes while meeting or exceeding their expectations, and to positively influence Planview revenue and profitability. Qualified candidates possess a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment that balances varied needs to ultimately drive the success of our customers and our business.

Job Description/Requirements

Tasks:
  • Leverages superior communication and presentation skills to lead and facilitate workshops on system configurations (configuration cycles) and explain Planview business capabilities and product level concepts and how they link to driving value for the customer.
  • Design a Planview solution that will deliver the customer’s business outcomes, support the needed processes, and is aligned with best practice.
  • Leverage Planview’s FastTrack methodology to configure and implement the solution design, scope, and delivery elements.
  • Manage solution scope within commercial boundaries and identify impacts on scope that require initiation of a commercial change request.
  • Leverage and contribute to Planview’s FastTrack delivery methodology, tools, and assets to incorporate lessons learned, best practices and opportunities to optimize delivery.
  • Work with internal partners in crafting and delivering combined solutions. 
  • Uses business requirements, and technical/product requirements and negotiates with customer to ensure the best solutions are provided; provides expert advice on additional or complementary products or services that meet their business needs and drive revenue.
  • Lead and plan data conversion/migration and validation with customer
  • Manage, optimize and track working time to achieve billable utilization targets.
  • Gather customer information to escalate to solve the most completx, multi-level, and/or technical-related problems, conduct additional research to identify patterns and the root causes of the issue and develop a plan of action to resolve the issue.
  • Represent Professional Services and acts as customer’s advocate in articulating business use cases and scenarios to Planview’s Customer Success and Product Management teams on product enhancements, support prioritizations. Represent the customers in the validation of support resolution as needed.
  • Develop intimate, trusted advisor relationships with key customer stakeholders to ensure the benefits of the solution delivered can be validated.
  • Identify complementary products or services that meet Customer’s business needs and drive revenue for Planview.
  • Master product functionality and how it is applied to achieve Customer business objectives.
  • Master new product release functionality.


Professional Requirements:

  • Possess skills in conceptualizing creative solutions and communicating them to others including senior management.
  • Ability to articulate the value of Planview Solutions and using your consulting skills to position the prescribed services to achieve the customer’s business outcomes.
  • Ability to develop multiple levels of relationships with the customer to ensure customer acceptance of responsibilities to deploy an effective solution.
  • Provide thought leadership to customers methods and approaches that enable the realization of value from project, portfolio, and resource management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to closure.
