Job Summary

As the Special Projects Manager, you will directly impact the efficiency and productivity of the organization, streamlining business initiatives, driving program management, and communicating cross-functional objectives. We are looking for someone who wants to be both strategic and tactical, and who is comfortable working at all levels of the company, from strategic program management to admin support across the organization.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functional projects and initiatives that drive revenue and/or reduce costs.
  • Support admin tasks, including but not limited to: Bill pay, New vendor onboarding, Mail triage, Expense report management for CEO, Meeting cliff notes and follow-up AIs, Manage new team member onboarding/offboarding
  • Analyze data and provide insights that inform decision making
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Plan, coordinate, and keep the contents of every meeting focused and prioritized
  • Drive the OKR process; ensure all teammates are active participants in the process
  • Act as a project manager and ensure all initiatives are tracked, actively resolve issues and remove blockers, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Develop systems for scale and create process documentation for internal and external partners
  • Prepare quarterly investor updates and agendas, develop fundraising and board decks
  • Manage weekly payroll, onboarding, and HR compliance
  • Manage CEO’s calendar, travel bookings, and other admin support for operations and sales teams as needed
  • Manage expense reporting, bill payment, and other accounting projects (in partnership with our accounting firm)


Qualifications:

  • Operations experience with a strong lean to execution; you can move fast and deliver results
  • Excellent judgment; you can quickly learn about the business and understand which decisions to own and which to escalate to other teammates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you can communicate well with with our leadership team; tech, sales, and ops teams; investors; warehouse team; customers
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others to achieve common goals
  • Prior experience at a high growth startup
  • Experience or interest in sustainability, food, and/or logistics
  • Located in the Bay Area, with the ability to work in person 2-3 days a week.
