Job Summary

Sidan Associate & Partners, a leading construction company, is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Site Engineer to oversee on-site construction activities. The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising construction teams, providing technical guidance, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with legal and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice and guidance to subcontractors and site teams to ensure construction activities are executed efficiently and in compliance with project requirements
  • Supervise and manage staff on-site, ensuring smooth coordination and optimal use of resources.
  • Monitor the progress of subcontractors' work packages to ensure timely completion in line with project schedules.
  • Ensure that construction work complies with legal guidelines, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on-site to ensure adherence to design specifications and project requirements.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and preventing overruns.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to provide- de accurate instructions to site teams.
  • Address and resolve any technical challenges or issues that arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, including daily reports, material usage, and progress updates.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to coordinate project milestones and address any delays or risks
  • Implement health and safety policies on-site and promote a culture of safety awareness among staff and subcontractors.


Qualification and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional certification or membership in a recognized engineering body is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proven track record of managing construction projects successfully. -Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings and provide clear instructions. -Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.




Location: Accra (Ogbojo, East Legon)

Employment Type: Full Time

Salary Range: GHS 4,600.00 (plus benefits and perks)
