Job Summary
The site engineer/supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations at construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. This role involves supervising workers, coordinating subcontractors, assisting with procurement, supporting the recruitment process alongside the Foreman, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The site engineer must maintain the highest standards of quality, ensuring that the project meets all specifications and is completed within the designated timeframe.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate the daily the daily activities of workers and subcontractors on site.
- Ensure work is carried out according to project specifications, plans, and schedules.
- Monitor the progress of the project and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure timely completion
- Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets the highest standards of quality.
- Ensure that all site operations are conducted safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with the Foreman to identify staffing needs for the project.
- Liaise with the project manager, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, tools and equipment.
- Manage and resolve issues that may arise during the project.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and any incidents or accidents.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to the project manager
- Ensure that all site documentation is up-to-date and properly filled.
- Monitor and manage site costs to ensure the project remains within budget.
- Minimize waste and inefficiency in the use of materials and labour.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree or diploma in construction management, civil engineering or related field is preferred.
- At least 3-5years of experience in construction or site supervision.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools and excel sheets.
- Experience with procurement processes and vendor management.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Certification in first-aid and safety training is a plus.
