Job Description/Requirements
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and forward-thinking lead on strategic networking, business development and sales efforts.
This role is crucial in shaping and enhancing Agusto & Co.`s brand visibility, expanding our client base in Ghana and developing and implementing effective sales strategies in meeting business goals.
Scope of the Job:
- Extensively understand the political and macro-economic environment of Ghana.
- Strategically create and manage client relationships and engagement.
- Develop and Implement brand visibility initiatives.
- Understand and leverage on knowledge of the Ghanaian market to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Support the team in meeting assigned business targets
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Visibility & Strategic Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy to increase company visibility in Ghana and other relevant markets.
- Establish and promote the company as a trusted authority in credit ratings, credit risk management and research.
- Strategically align the company’s direction with market opportunities and client needs.
- Work with assigned teams in the group to leverage digital platforms, media outlets and attend industry events to promote the company’s services and core competencies.
Business Development & Client Acquisition:
- Extensively drive sales of Agusto & Co. products/services and increase revenue.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities leveraging on new and old networks in the industry.
- Lead the creation of tailored client pitches and proposals to attract and win new business opportunities.
- Identify and act on new market trends, optimising revenue growth and brand positioning.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
Credit Rating & Research:
- Support the credit rating process, conducting thorough analysis of corporate clients, financial institutions, and government entities to assign appropriate credit ratings
- Conduct regular market research to understand client needs, preferences, and the competitive landscape.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant course from a reputable University.
- Relevant master’s degree or professional certifications is required.
- At least 5 years work experience working as a business development/sales officer in a reputable organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales and increase revenue through strategic planning and execution.
- Impeccable networking skills in negotiating and closing business deals that promote sustained revenue.
- Strong knowledge of the macro landscape in Ghana including regulatory frameworks and trends.
- Excellent communication, business writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
