Job Description/Requirements

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Support Genesys sales growth in EMEA (but focused on France) by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements with a primary focus on cloud services and SaaS, channel partner agreements, software license and support agreements, and professional services agreements. 
  • Provide commercial and general legal advice to the business, including providing advice to internal stakeholders in connection with company processes and procedures. 
  • Supporting RFP responses (particularly in France) from a legal perspective. 
  • Keeping abreast of the latest legal and regulatory developments relating to cloud-based software solutions (with a particular focus on France), and knowledge sharing with legal team members, as well with as the security, compliance, revenue and finance functions.  
  • Regularly contribute to and refine Genesys’ templates, playbooks, and guidance documents. 
  • Develop and maintain a set of template documents adapted from Genesys standard templates to comply with French law.
  • Work with other internal subject matter experts (security, revenue, finance tax, IP, etc) and occasionally external counsel to deliver the required outcomes on contract negotiations.


Required Skills:

  • Law Degree from an accredited law school in Europe. 
  • Licensed to practice as a French avocat
  • 4-5 years’ PQE in the TMT team of reputable law firm, or equivalent in-house experience working with SaaS agreements. 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and contract drafting skills. Fluent French (written and spoken) is essential, as well as a high level of proficiency in English (written and spoken). 
  • Consistent good judgment and ability to apply legal knowledge to help create practical business solutions. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical advice to clients. 
  • Ability to manage a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues.
