Job Summary

The Senior Accounts Officer is very strategic in the success of the Revolving Scheme. The Officer assists the Scheme Manager and works closely with him to achieve set goals. The incumbent has the responsibility for entering accounting transactions and assist in designing the financial strategy of the scheme.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update accurate records of all financial transactions
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records
  • Preparation of provisional estimates for clients
  • Ensures that provisional estimates are sent to clients
  • Final invoice generation and sending to client either by email or dispatch
  • Preparation of invoices for all subsidiaries
  • Preparation of P&L statement for any of the subsidiaries
  • Banking (Deposits and Withdrawals)
  • Process of accounts payables and receivables
  • Renewal of FDA licenses and any others as may be required
  • Handle account inquiries from both internal and external sources
  • Perform internal audit on financial activities as necessary
  • Review incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Generate financial reports for regulatory authorities
  • Knowledge of book keeping and related functions
  • Knowledge or warehouse activities
  • Any other duties that may be assigned
  • Ensure adherence and improvement in internal controls
  • Carry out month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget and financial forecasts
  • Assist in the preparation and audit of annual financial statements


Responsible for preparation/processing of the following:

  • Payroll
  • On time payment of statutory
  • Monthly VAT schedule
  • Receivables and payables
  • Road transport invoices for West Africa
  • Payment vouchers
  • Any other invoice or duties as required by management


Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or Accounting
  • 2-3 years working experience with strong excel background
  • Strong communication skills


Personality:

  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Must be intelligent and analytical
  • Must have high integrity, strong ethics and high personal values
  • Must have the ability to communicate with people with diverse background
  • Must have the ability to manage confidential data






Location: Accra

Employment Type: Full Time
