Job Summary

An audit and accountancy practice who provide expert solutions for entrepreneurial businesses and private individuals in Central and Southern England require the services of a senior Accounts.

  • Minimum Qualification : HND
  • Experience Level : Entry level
  • Experience Length : 1 year

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Building long lasting client relationships
  • Working on a variety of interesting and complex accounts assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with seniors, managers and partners when required
  • Assist in bookkeeping
  • Preparing corporation tax computations
  • Managing own workload in a timely and efficient manner while all the time ensuring we exceed client expectations
  • Supervising, training and assisting more junior members of the team
  • Build productive relationships with team members and colleagues at Shaw Gibbs, adopting a collaborative working approach
  • Whilst the role will predominantly be audit-focused, there will also be opportunities to get involved in preparing accounts

About You

  • ACCA/ICAG part-qualified
  • Minimum of 1-2 years Accounts practice experience
  • Preference for HND or University degree with at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Xero, Sage, Quickbooks experience would be an advantage
  • Fully fluent in English with proven communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
  • A positive, confident and proactive attitude
  • Create a positive impression with clients and staff
  • Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivated
  • Able to work within procedures on job aspects which will deal with facts, standards and quality
