Job Summary

The Patrol Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security patrol teams to ensure the safety and protection of people, property, and assets. This role involves coordinating security operations, supervising patrol officers, responding to incidents, and enforcing company security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervision & Leadership
  • Manage and oversee security patrol officers on duty.
  • Assign patrol routes and shifts to security personnel.
  • Conduct roll calls, briefings, and debriefings.
  1. Security & Patrol Operations
  • Conduct routine and random patrols to ensure security coverage.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
  • Enforce security policies, regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or hazards.
  1. Incident Management & Reporting
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of patrol logs, incidents, and shift reports.
  1. Training & Development
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to patrol officers.
  • Ensure security personnel comply with company policies and industry best practices.
  • Conduct periodic drills and exercises to test emergency response readiness.
  1. Equipment & Asset Management
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of security equipment (radios, flashlights, vehicles, etc.).
  • Report any faulty equipment or security vulnerabilities to management.
  1. Customer Service & Public Relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related concerns.
  • Assist employees, visitors, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment through visible security presence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in security management or related field is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of security procedures, risk assessment, and emergency response.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of security personnel.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing and incident documentation.
  • Familiarity with security systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
