Duties / Responsibilities

• Should be able to quickly notice situations and clearly recall events so that appropriate actions can be taken.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with others so that there are no miscommunications
• Follow or adhere to organizational policies
• Inspecting property and equipment
• Monitoring surveillance cameras
• Securing areas during maintenance and emergencies
• Recognizing potential threats and taking steps to mitigate them
• Detaining suspects of criminal activity until police arrives
• Escorting trespassers, discharged staff, and other unwelcome people off the premises
• Advising people on safety precautions
• Controlling traffic, by directing drivers
• Any other duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Education / Experience

• Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate
• 2-3 years industry experience

Personality:

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and expectations while balancing the needs of different teams and stakeholders
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have a client service orientation
• Must pay attention to, be concerned with, and analyse details
• Must be able to make decisions concerning security and safety of staff and the premises
• Must be of high integrity and must have the ability to communicate with diverse personalities
