Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating work schedules for employees
- Inventorying salon supplies and reordering as needed
- Ensuring that the salon environment meets cleanliness and hygiene standards required by law
- Monitoring staff’s completion of continuing education requirement needed to maintain licensure
- Resolving client complaints
- Marketing the salon to attract new customers
- Performing salon services for customers as needed
- Organizational skills to track inventory, create schedules and handle other clerical tasks
- Expertise in cutting, coloring, texturizing and styling hair and performing manicures and other services
- Effective oral communication skills to interact with staff and clients
- Interviewing skills to recruit quality candidates for open positions
- Ability to use spreadsheets, customer management software and word processing programs
- Basic knowledge of accounting to track purchasing expenses and work within a budget
- Strong interpersonal skills to handle client complaints, motivate and coach staff
Account Management:
- Manage social media accounts for clients and internal teams.
- Develop and implement social media strategy for various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Ensure internal accounts are verified and secure from hackers.
Social Media Strategy and Management:
- Create, curate and manage all published content (text, images, video) on social media channels.
- Develop and manage social media advertising campaigns.
- Monitor, measure and report on the performance of social media campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, Hoot suite and Sprout Social.
- Engage with social media followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner.
- Identify trends and insights, recommending changes to social media strategies and tactics
