Job Summary
The Sales Officer will be responsible for promoting and selling the company's products, engaging with clients, and building long-term relationships to drive business growth. The role involves going on rounds to promote products, collect payments, and manage client accounts. The ideal candidate should be self- motivated, target-driven, and capable of using a motorbike to perform their duties efficiently. The Sales Officer will also be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts from customers.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
1. Product Promotion & Sales:
- Actively promote and sell Battery Planet Ghana’s products to existing and potential customers.
- Conduct regular rounds to businesses and customers, ensuring consistent and effective product presentations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding the customer base and increasing sales volume.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Regularly check in with clients to ensure satisfaction with products and services.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
- Gather information on competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
- Keep track of emerging opportunities and market developments that could benefit Battery Planet Ghana’s business.
Debt Collection & Account Management:
Debt Recovery:
- Regularly follow up with customers for payment collections, ensuring timely settlement of outstanding debts.
- Maintain accurate records of customer payment histories, ensuring that all invoices and receipts are well documented.
Account Monitoring:
- Monitor customer accounts and identify any potential overdue or problematic payments.
- Escalate payment issues to management when necessary and assist in resolving customer disputes.
Route Planning & Field Operations:
Efficient Route Planning:
- Plan daily sales routes to optimize time and maximize the number of clients visited.
- Ensure all scheduled visits are completed within the required timeframes.
Motorbike Operation:
- Safely operate a motorbike to visit clients, transport promotional materials, and collect payments.
- Maintain the motorbike in good working condition, ensuring it is properly serviced and ready for use.
Reporting & Administrative Tasks:
Sales Reporting:
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales records, providing detailed reports on activities, results, and market conditions to management.
Customer Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and updated customer profiles, including contact information, transaction history, and payment schedules.
- Ensure all necessary customer documentation is collected, completed, and submitted for processing.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Minimum of a diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields is a plus.
Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in retail, distribution, or a related industry.
- Experience in debt collection is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the use of a motorbike for field operations is required.
