Job Summary

Experienced Sales Executive required for sales and marketing of self-catering accommodation and or Airbnb style accommodation units. The candidate would perform a variety of roles including finding guests to occupy property on short or long term. Applicants must be able to think outside the box to generate other income streams for the enterprise. You will need to balance numerous, and sometimes contradictory issues, such as increasing the profitability of the business without spending any money. The work involves selling apartment or rooms for guest to relax or enjoy their holidays and space for events The candidate must have the acumen to plan to meet both short term and longer-term accommodation needs of holidaymakers. You will need to be both practically minded and strategic in seeing the overall picture of our business.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Sales: Selling of self -catering rooms/apartment and space for events to prospective clients and guests.
  • Marketing: Promotion of self-catering rooms and events space via Facebook, face to face meetings, prepare and deliver pitches to potential clients, group presentations, WhatsApp, Instagram, twitter, social media platforms, online marketing tools and building a positive brand image.
  • Customer Service: Meeting, welcoming and booking guests into the property and managing complaints
  • Procurement: Appraising purchase decision making process and delegating purchases
  • Petty Cash Management: Managing petty cash budget and taking initiative to make critical expenditure in the absence of management when required..
  • Research: Undertaking marketing research and providing information in a database for management decision making.
  • Managerial: Supervising caretaker /cleaner/domestic assistant by providing feedback for improvement and weekly reports.
  • Security/CCTV: Undertaking risk assessments, observing, and reporting any identified risks in the environment.



General Responsibilities:

  • Operating reverse Osmosis machine & bleeding the taps on Mondays and Fridays for 2 minutes to ensure water is of good quality & testing fire alarms.
  • Be always professional and implement environmental management policies, fire prevention, health &safety, security, and waste disposal at the property.
  • Undertake any other duties about the development of the enterprise.

Person Specification:

  • Must be competent in business development, sales and marketing of hospitality or hotel services and space for events.
  • Must be competent in developing and updating websites and capable in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Applicant should be competent in primary and secondary business research.
  • Candidate must have the ability to use statistical tools and methods to analyze, interpret data and present findings to management.
  • Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be responsible, reliable, and able to work well in a team and to work to schedule and deadlines.
  • Should have ability to work independently and willing to accept supervision remotely.
  • Willing to work long/short hours and on rolling days or night shifts and at short notices or on public holidays.
  • Must have the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Must not have any past criminal convictions or pending charges.
  • Ability to develop residential tenancy agreements and knowledge of property rental business in Ghana -short/long lettings.


Qualifications & Experience:

  •  University Degree OR HND in the following specialist fields: Marketing or Hospitality management and Operations, Hotel, Catering and Institutional management, Hospitality and Tourism Management.


Location: Kasoa (candidates living in the Central region close to Kasoa are also encouraged to apply)

Salary Range: 1,800 Ghc plus 5% commission on total bookings for the month.
Commission: 5% commission paid in addition to monthly Remittance for a minimum of 15 bookings per month.
