Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant service, focusing on a high standard of cleanliness, timely service, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Lead, train, and schedule staff, ensuring performance is consistently aligned with customer service and operational goals. Act as a role model by demonstrating superior service during peak hours.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to manage workflow, balancing priorities between guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the dining and kitchen areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain quality standards.
  • Manage stock levels, oversee inventory, and control costs, ensuring proper procurement procedures are followed for both food and beverage items.
  • Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally, turning challenges into opportunities to improve customer loyalty.
  • Support marketing efforts by coordinating special events, promotions, and seasonal menus, in collaboration with the marketing team, to attract new patrons and retain loyal customers.
  • Monitor daily financial transactions and reporting, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing of accounts at the end of each shift.
  • Develop strategies to enhance restaurant performance, leveraging data analysis on customer feedback and operational efficiency to suggest improvements.


Qualifications and Specifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years in restaurant supervision or management.
  • Experience in staff management and customer service.
  • Proven leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative working environment, ensuring team goals are met.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on conflict resolution and delivering superior guest service.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, cost controls, and food and beverage best practices, ensuring operational profitability. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems, relevant computer software, and other restaurant management tools.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a keen understanding of staff coordination and resource allocation.
