Key Responsibilities

As a Production Manager, the individual is tasked with managing both human and material resources. The primary duties include:

• Developing production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource use.
• Implementing and enforcing strict quality control and safety measures to adhere to industry standards and regulatory compliance.
• Manage procurement and logistics, and coordinate with sales to ensure a seamless workflow.
• Monitoring production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
• Implementing cost-effective changes to existing procedures and strategies.

Key Tasks and Duties

The day-to-day activities of a Production Manager are diverse, requiring both tactical and strategic thinking. Specific tasks include:

• Analyzing production data to identify and address inefficiencies in the process.
• Conducting regular team meetings to communicate targets, discuss issues, and provide solutions.
• Maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the high-quality and timely procurement of materials.
• Training and supervising staff to ensure they are qualified and well-prepared to meet production demands.
• Reviewing the performance of production operations to meet business and profitability goals.

Education and Certification Requirements

To qualify for the position of Production Manager in the Manufacturing industry, candidates typically need:

• A master's or bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial management, supply chain management, project management, Architecture or a related field.
• Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
• Experience in production or manufacturing management with a very good eye for detail.
• Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
