Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition and Onboarding

  • Identify, target, and onboard new High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNI) and Affluent clients through referrals, professional networks, and targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Deliver a seamless and personalized onboarding experience, ensuring all KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations are met.
  • Develop a pipeline of potential HNI and Affluent clients to achieve acquisition and growth targets.


Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary relationship point for HNI and Affluent clients, ensuring consistent engagement and exceptional service delivery.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships by understanding each client’s financial objectives, risk appetite, and preferences.
  • Proactively manage client portfolios by offering tailored financial and lifestyle solutions aligned with their unique goals.


Portfolio Management and Advisory

  • Provide strategic advice and solutions across banking, investment, and wealth management products.
  • Manage client portfolios with a focus on asset allocation, diversification, and maximizing returns while mitigating risks.
  • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and recommend adjustments based on market conditions or changes in client goals.


Cross-Selling and Upselling

  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell banking and financial products, such as savings, loans, insurance, mutual funds, and structured investments.
  • Promote exclusive offerings tailored for HNI and Affluent clients, including premium accounts, concierge services, lifestyle privileges, and private equity opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal product specialists to deliver bespoke solutions for complex client needs.


Credit Management

  • Facilitate access to personalized credit solutions for HNI and Affluent clients, such as overdrafts, mortgages, working capital loans, and secured lending.
  • Work with the credit team to structure credit facilities that align with the client’s financial standing and goals.
  • Monitor credit performance and manage risks associated with loan products, ensuring timely repayments.


Retention and Loyalty Management

  • Focus on deepening client relationships to drive loyalty and retention within the HNI and Affluent segments.
  • Leverage data analytics and behavioral insights to deliver targeted retention strategies, such as loyalty programs, exclusive offers, and personalized experiences.
  • Engage clients through high-touch interactions, ensuring consistent communication and proactive support.


Market Insights and Strategic Advice

  • Provide clients with timely updates on global and local market trends, macroeconomic developments, and emerging investment opportunities.
  • Offer insights into portfolio restructuring, estate planning, succession planning, and tax-efficient investment strategies.
  • Stay updated on competitor offerings to ensure competitive value propositions for the bank’s private banking clients.


Event Planning and Networking

  • Organize exclusive private banking events, such as investment seminars, networking sessions, and lifestyle experiences, to engage and retain clients.
  • Represent the bank at industry and community events, strengthening the bank’s presence among HNI and Affluent circles.
  • Build strong referral networks with professionals such as wealth advisors, lawyers, and accountants to expand the client base.


Sales Target Achievement

  • Drive the achievement of individual and team sales targets across HNI and Affluent client segments.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the client portfolio, increase wallet share, and maximize profitability.
  • Regularly report progress and results to management, including insights into client activity, acquisition, and retention performance.


Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all client interactions and transactions comply with the bank’s policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Monitor client accounts for suspicious activities, ensuring adherence to AML, KYC, and fraud prevention measures.
  • Work closely with compliance teams to address regulatory issues and ensure a risk-free operating environment.


Additional Responsibilities for Private Banking:

  • Exclusive Service Offerings: Deliver curated financial and lifestyle solutions unique to private banking clients, such as estate planning, family wealth management, and philanthropy advisory.
  • Digital Integration: Promote and assist HNI and Affluent clients in using private banking digital platforms for seamless account management and investment tracking.
  • Client Segmentation Strategy: Align services and products to the specific needs of HNI and Affluent clients, differentiating between the two segments while ensuring high service standards.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in the Banking Sector.
  • A good first degree in any discipline. Masters degree or accounting or banking professional qualification will be an added advantage

  • Wealth Management Expertise: Deep understanding of private banking products, portfolio management, and investment strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust and long-lasting relationships.

  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to engage diverse client bases, understanding the unique needs of HNI and Affluent clients.
  • Professionalism and Confidentiality: High ethical standards and discretion in handling sensitive client information.
  • Market Awareness: Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets, regulatory requirements, and competitive trends.
