Job Summary
We are seeking a Recovery Officer to support our Collections and Recoveries team in ensuring the timely repossession, auction, and recovery of assets. The ideal candidate will play a key role in minimizing delinquency rates through effective customer engagement, repossession coordination, and auction management.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting the Collections and Recoveries Manager to design policies, processes, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective SME collections.
- Responsible for the repossession of all vehicles for which the business has CR7 or as agreed by Arrears Committee.
- Responsible for ensuring that all repossessed vehicles are sent to the Company’s garage within 24 hours for safe keeping.
- Responsible for organizing auction of repossessed vehicles within 8 days after receipt of revaluation reports.
- Responsible for timely publication of vehicles for auction in the national newspapers.
- Responsible for ensuring the settlement of all accounts with sales proceeds from auctions.
- Responsible for producing weekly reports for the Collections and Recoveries Manager on all assigned duties.
- Responsible for working within the team's target to reduce growth in delinquencies.
- Responsible for updating the auction report immediately after each auction within 12 hours of the auction.
- Responsible for regular and intensive client visitation in furtherance of recovery efforts.
- Responsible for effectively resolving issues with angry and upset customers.
- Responsible for developing positive rapport with different types of customers.
- Responsible for applying the proper etiquette to collect arrears from different customer situations.
- Responsible for applying appropriate actions to effectively control customer engagements.
- Responsible for the maintenance of relationships with vendors involved in the recoveries process, Ghana Police, Repossession agents, garage, Valuers & Auctioneers.
- Responsible for adhering to all Collection policies.
- Responsible for participating in all Collections Trainings/staff meetings.
- Responsible for mitigating any collections risks which do or may affect the Company.
- Responsible for achieving the agreed set target on repossessed collections and Vintages.
- Responsible for ensuring all returned cheques are duly reported to the Police within 24 hours upon receipt of the cheque(s).
- Responsible for ensuring repossessed vehicles are released to clients after clients have settled their indebtedness with us.
- Responsible for expanding channels for sale of vehicles.
- Responsible for any other collections activities that may be assigned to you by the supervisor or head of department.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National diploma
- Must have at least one (1) year experience in a similar role
