Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Technical Estimator to manage cost estimation, project feasibility, and technical assessments for construction and service-based projects. This role involves preparing accurate costings, analyzing project requirements, evaluating technical drawings (including AutoCAD and 3D renditions), and ensuring all work complies with relevant standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will liaise with clients, manage risk, and support project planning from initial concept through to completion.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Carefully estimate costs, calculate material needs, and map project timelines.
- AutoCAD and 3D drawings, as well as Rendition of AutoCAD and 3D drawings.
- Calculate and determine how much it will cost a company to complete a project or provide a service or products to your esteemed clients.
- Liaise directly with customers on progress and resolve any technical queries.
- Conduct feasibility studies to vet proposed projects.
- Calculate quantities and costs for materials, labor, timeframes.
- Prepare tender packages and contracts, including bills of quantities.
- Manage risk, value engineering, and cost control measures.
- Analyze repair/maintenance costs.
- Negotiate contracts and schedules.
- Evaluate drawings, site surveys, existing estimates, and site conditions.
- Perform risk assessments and analysis and help determine the project cost and available material resources to reasonably estimate the cost of the project.
- Review access quotes and advise on cost estimates.
- Create and analyze required documents such as designs, blueprints, and relevant project plans to gain an understanding of the project.
- Determine what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
- Continually assess the value of the client's investment.
- Analyze outcomes and provide budget/progress reports.
- Advise on claims, disputes, and any contractual issues.
- Help initiate new construction projects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BSc Engineering, Construction management, construction science, Architecture, or relevant field.
- Added advantage: Background or related course in accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong math, numerical, and data analysis skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building talents.
- Creative, analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency with technology and surveying software.
- Project management capabilities.
