Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability
- Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products
- Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff
- Coordinates product testing processes
- Participates in product testing
- Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues
- Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
- Maintains compliance with local, international and organizational regulations, guidelines, and policies
- Testing and sampling products, ensuring they meet set standards and specifications
- Developing quality control policies and standards for the company to follow
- Training staff members on the quality control processes and policies
- Confirming all products are properly labeled before output
- Investigating customer complaint
- Establishing strategies to improve efficiency and profitability in the organization, as well as put out higher quality goods
- Hires and trains quality assurance staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy
- Be prepared for external audits and recalls
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP, etc.) and regulatory requirements
- Experience with quality control tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with audit processes and compliance reporting.
