Medifem Multi Specialist Hospital and Fertility Centre is seeking a dynamic and creative PR/Marketing Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting the hospital's brand, services, and community presence, with a focus on driving awareness of our exceptional maternal and fertility care offerings.

JOB PURPOSE:
To develop and implement strategic public relations and marketing initiatives that enhance the visibility, reputation, and outreach of Medifem Multi Specialist Hospital and Fertility Centre. The role involves managing internal and external communications, creating compelling content, coordinating events and campaigns, and strengthening relationships with media, partners, and the community to support the hospital’s mission and growth.
JOB ROLE
Marketing & Promotion
- Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to promote the hospital’s core services, with emphasis on specialist care.
- Identify and segment target markets; design outreach programs to attract both domestic and international clients.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute promotional campaigns including health fairs, open days, digital advertising, and community health education initiatives.
- Track, analyse, and report on the performance and ROI of all marketing activities.
Public Relations
- Act as the hospital’s spokesperson and media liaison; respond to media inquiries and manage public statements.
- Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media houses, especially within the health and wellness space.
- Draft and disseminate press releases, articles, newsletters, and media kits to promote hospital news and success stories.
- Organize and manage press conferences, media interviews, and special hospital events.
Digital & Social Media Management
- Manage the hospital’s social media platforms and website, ensuring content is timely, accurate, and aligned with brand messaging.
- Create and curate compelling content, including posts, videos, patient testimonials, infographics, and health tips.
- Monitor digital engagement metrics and respond to online inquiries and feedback in a timely, professional manner.
Branding & Communications
- Ensure brand consistency across all hospital communications, campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams and creative vendors to produce marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, banners, digital signage, etc.).
- Assist in developing patient education content for both digital and print use.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
- Plan and coordinate outreach activities targeting schools, churches, corporate institutions, NGOs, and community groups.
- Represent the hospital at external exhibitions, trade shows, medical conferences, and stakeholder forums.
Internal Communications
- Develop internal communication initiatives that foster team alignment, culture, and awareness of hospital activities.
- Support CSR initiatives and staff engagement programs in collaboration with the HR and Admin teams.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within healthcare, wellness, or hospitality sectors.
- Demonstrated experience with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, SEO/SEM tools).
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Creative and proactive thinker with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in content creation and design tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or InDesign is an advantage.
- High level of discretion, empathy, and professionalism, particularly in sensitive areas like fertility care and women's health.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of the Ghanaian health sector and regulatory environment.
- Familiarity with hospital or clinical operations and patient-cantered care principles.
- Multilingual abilities, including local Ghanaian languages, is a plus
