Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the organization while supervising and leading a team of professionals. This role combines traditional project management responsibilities with key HR duties, including team development, performance management, and recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background as well as an understanding of HR best practices, with the ability to foster a collaborative, productive, and results-driven environment.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, finance, and operations, to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.


Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address project challenges and delays, ensuring timely resolution of issues.


Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all stakeholders (internal and external), ensuring smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, outlining progress, challenges, and any adjustments needed.


Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the organization’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to assess compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Facilitate project handovers to clients or other departments, ensuring all expectations are met.


 Team Supervision & HR Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise, motivate, and manage a team of project staff, ensuring effective collaboration and achievement of project objectives.
  • Assign tasks to team members based on their skills, expertise, and project requirements.


Performance Management:

  • Set clear performance expectations for team members and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and create development plans for team members to enhance their skills and career growth.


Recruitment & Staffing:

  • Collaborate with HR to recruit qualified personnel for project teams, ensuring the team is adequately staffed for all stages of the project.
  • Participate in interview processes for potential project team members and provide feedback to HR on hiring decisions.


Employee Development and Training:

  • Identify skills gaps within the project team and work with HR to facilitate training and development programs.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, or mentorship opportunities to enhance team members’ professional capabilities.


Budget and Resource Management:

Budget Planning and Control:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all costs are controlled and that resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Approve project expenses and ensure that financial reports are accurate and submitted on time.


Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Basic HR experience or understanding of HR practices, including recruitment, performance management, and team development.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with senior management, clients, and team members effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address project challenges proactively.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project).
