Professional Driver

Key Responsibilities:

Driving & Transportation

• Operate a company-provided vehicle to transport passengers safely and efficiently via the Uber platform.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic regulations, road safety laws, and Uber community guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all passengers.
• Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers while following the most efficient routes.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Report any mechanical issues or damages to the company for timely maintenance and repairs.
• Keep the vehicle clean, both interior and exterior, at all times to maintain a professional appearance.
• Ensure the vehicle has up-to-date insurance, roadworthiness certification, and other necessary permits.

Customer Service & Professionalism

• Provide friendly and courteous service to all passengers.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally and escalate any complaints to the appropriate department.
• Maintain a high rating on Uber by consistently delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensure a smooth and comfortable ride for passengers by adhering to best driving practices.

Compliance & Reporting

• Log trip details, fuel consumption, and any incidents as required by the company.
• Follow all Uber policies, including compliance with ride-sharing safety regulations.
• Communicate regularly with the company’s transport manager regarding schedules, vehicle status, and performance.
• Be available for assigned shifts and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if required.

Qualifications & Experience

• A valid Ghanaian Driver’s License (minimum Category B).
• A minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in ride-hailing services such as Uber, Bolt, or Yango.
• Familiarity with ride-hailing apps and smartphone usage.
• Excellent knowledge of major roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or accidents.

Requirements

• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Must have a smartphone with internet access to operate the Uber app.
• Must pass a background check and vehicle safety inspection.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Candidate must live in Lashibi and its environs.
