Job Summary

The Principal will serve as the educational leader and chief administrator for the school, overseeing all academic, operational, and developmental aspects. The Principal will be responsible for providing leadership, setting a vision for the school, promoting a positive and safe learning environment, and ensuring high academic standards and holistic development forstudents. The Principal will collaborate with teachers, staff, parents, and the community to achieve the school’s educational goals.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Vision:

  • Develop and implement a clear educational vision and mission for the school.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment that supports the growth and development of students from early childhood through elementary levels.
  • Inspire and motivate staff to achieve high standards of teaching and learning.


Academic Management:

  • Oversee the curriculum development and ensure alignment with educational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs and ensure the continuous improvement of teaching and learning processes.
  • Encourage the adoption of innovative teaching methodologies and technology integration to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Supervise the assessment and evaluation of student progress and performance.


Staff Supervision & Development:

  • Lead the development and evaluation of teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for teachers and support staff to enhance their skills and competencies.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration among staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning.


Student Welfare & Development:

  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and conducive learning environment for all students.
  • Promote the holistic development of students, including their academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Address disciplinary issues with fairness, consistency, and in alignment with the school’s policies.


Parental & Community Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the school and parents, fostering strong communication and relationships.
  • Organize and participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and community outreach programs.
  • Encourage parent involvement in the school’s educational programs and activities.


School Operations & Administration:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the school, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and facility management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the school board, governing bodies, and external stakeholders to align strategic goals with school policies.


Strategic Planning & Development:

  • Lead the strategic planning process for the school’s future development, focusing on growth, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for school improvement and implement initiatives to enhance the overall school experience for students, staff, and families.


Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education,Early Childhood Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or Educational Administration is preferred.
  • Teaching certification and/or principal certification is required.


Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in teaching or educational leadership, preferably in early childhood or elementary school settings.
  • Proven experience in school administration, curriculum development, and staff management.


Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to foster a positive school culture and build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for improving educational outcomes.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning strategies.
  • Familiarity with technology integration in the classroom and modern educational trends.
