Job Description/Requirements
Job Purpose
• To provide technical and operational support in standards and compliance for the achievement of the mandate of the organization
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provides input for the formulation of policies of the organization
• Supervises the collation of data for the development and review of standards, guidelines, processes and procedures for the management of programmes and activities of the department
• Facilitates the effective and efficient development of teachers standards and guidelines
• Supervises the accurate updates of a comprehensive database on the programmes and activities of the department
• Undertakes fields inspection of teacher training facilities and service providers
• Supervises the collation of data for the development and timely publication of teacher training and development programmes
• Collaborate closely with officers, departments and other stakeholders in the implementation of programmes and activities of the department
• Supervises the collation of data for the development of annual work plans for the department
• Supervises the collation for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the department
• Supervises and appraises the performance of subordinate staff in the department
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Education or any related field from an accredited tertiary institution
• A minimum of 6 years of which must be in a management position
• Must pass a competitive selection interview

• Very good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Extensive knowledge and experience in managing training programmes
• Very good negotiating, lobbying, diplomacy and conflict management
• Excellent qualitative, quantitative and analytical skills

• Extensive knowledge and experience in teacher standards development and guidelines
• Extensive knowledge in education and other related fields
• Good knowledge of Public Financial Management Laws and Regulations
• Knowledge in relevant IT applications
