Power Generation Field Service Technician - Level II at Cummins

We are looking for a talented Power Generation Field Service Technician - Level II to join our team specializing in Service for our Field Service Engine – Kumasi Department in Kumasi, Ghana.

Efficient Repairs: By diagnosing and completing less complex repairs to generators and components, you'll ensure minimal downtime for customers.

Customer Engagement: Engaging customers courteously and professionally will enhance their overall experience and satisfaction.

Proactive Service: Anticipating and addressing customer needs promptly will build trust and reliability.

Specialized Tools: Using specialized tools and following procedures will ensure high-quality and consistent repairs.

Preventative Maintenance: Performing scheduled preventative maintenance will help in avoiding unexpected breakdowns and extending the life of power generation products.

Issue Escalation: Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors will ensure that complex problems are addressed efficiently.

Accurate Documentation: Completing required documentation accurately will support warranty claims, quality control, and service records.

Safety Compliance: Adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies will ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.



Responsibilities



To be successful in this role you will need the following:



Accurate Reporting: Ensure detailed and precise report writing to capture every aspect of the work performed.

Safety Compliance: Observe all safety procedures and protocols, including conducting job safety analyses prior to starting any work.

Vehicle and Tool Maintenance: Maintain proper housekeeping for vehicles and tools, ensuring they are serviced on time and kept in good condition.

Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of product repair and maintenance, power generation systems, and engine systems interactions to efficiently diagnose and repair issues.



Qualifications



Education/ Experience:



Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Current relevant electrical certification

Locally valid driving permit

Basic level field service work experience

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products

High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience

Customer service experience

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
