Physician Assistant

A renowned Hospital in Accra is seeking to employ a Physician Assistant. A Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed healthcare professional who practices medicine under the supervision of physicians and surgeons. The PA will be a vital member of the healthcare team, providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care across various medical specialties.

Experience: 1 Year

Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis

• Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, blood tests, and other lab work.
• Formulate differential diagnoses and develop treatment plans.

Treatment and Patient Management

• Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of practice.
• Perform medical procedures such as suturing, casting, and wound care.
• Assist in surgeries as needed.

Education and Counseling

• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Provide counseling on lifestyle changes to promote health and wellness.

Collaboration and Coordination

• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.

Administrative Duties

• Document patient care in medical records accurately and promptly.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree

Skills:

• Strong clinical knowledge across a variety of medical specialties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Location: Accra (Labadi, - near La Palm Hotel)

Salary Range: Ghc 4,000.00 - Ghc 6,000.00 Net
