About the HAPPY Program
The Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) Program is a multi-stakeholder partnership led by Agri-Impact Limited and supported by the Mastercard Foundation. The program aims to create
326,000 quality job opportunities for youth aged 15-35 in Ghana's poultry, rice, soybean, and tomato value chains, with a focus on women and persons with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research to identify and engage potential employers in key agricultural sectors.
- Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive database of prospective and current employer partners.
- Initiate personalized outreach campaigns via email and phone to establish connections with potential employers.
- Develop and deliver engaging presentations about the HAPPY Program to attract and inform potential partners.
- Facilitate both virtual and in-person meetings with prospective employers to discuss partnership opportunities.
- Create and maintain informative materials that enhance employer engagement and interest in the program.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize partnership agreements with new employers and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with employers to identify job openings and maintain detailed records of available positions and requirements.
- Track placement metrics and provide regular reports on progress towards employer acquisition and job placement targets.
- Stay updated on industry trends and participate in professional development to continuously improve employer engagement strategies.
Competencies:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Agriculture, Marketing, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in business development, account management, or partnerships, preferably in the agricultural sector
- Strong understanding of the Ghanaian agricultural landscape and value chains
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and data analysis tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
