Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Optometrist at Bengali Hospital. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting eye examinations, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, detecting eye diseases, and providing appropriate treatment. The role also involves educating patients on proper eye care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing eye conditions
- Ability to prescribe and dispense corrective lenses and contact lenses.
- Knowledge of eye diseases and their treatment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- Valid license to practice as an Optometrist in Ghana
- Experience in a hospital setting is a plus
