Operations Manager (with Architectural Background)

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Project Management

• Oversee daily operations related to architectural projects, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to timelines.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project execution aligns with company goals.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and resource allocation for operational activities.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and resolve operational challenges.

Architectural & Technical Oversight

• Ensure that architectural designs and construction processes comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
• Review and approve technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to align with project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to the operations and project teams.
  
  

Process Improvement & Quality Control

• Identify bottlenecks in operations and propose innovative solutions for efficiency.
• Establish quality control standards to maintain design integrity and project excellence.
• Implement best practices in project execution, sustainability, and construction methodologies.
  
  

Team Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and support staff.
• Act as a liaison between clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration between departments.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety guidelines, and corporate policies.
• Identify potential risks in operations and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage operational crises and implement contingency plans when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, preferably within an architectural or construction firm.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of architectural design, construction processes, and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other architectural software is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and operational costs effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
