Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Monitor financial performance and provide insights for decision-making.
Bookkeeping & Records Management
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
- Ensure proper documentation of expenses, invoices, and receipts.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
- Track company income and expenses.
- Ensure timely invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Process vendor payments and manage supplier accounts.
Tax Compliance & Regulatory Filings
- Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, corporate tax, SSNIT, and PAYE.
- Ensure compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and other regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on tax laws and financial regulations.
Payroll Processing & Employee Compensation
- Manage employee salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Process payroll and ensure timely payment of staff.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Develop and monitor budgets to ensure financial stability.
- Forecast cash flow and recommend cost-cutting strategies.
- Support strategic decision-making with financial data.
Financial Audits & Internal Controls
- Maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
- Assist external auditors with company financial audits.
- Implement financial best practices to improve efficiency.
ERP & Accounting Software Management (Including QuickBooks)
- Maintain and update company financial records in ERP & QuickBooks.
- Ensure proper integration of ERP with financial processes.
- Generate reports and financial insights using ERP software.
- Train relevant staff on ERP and financial processes where necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or office management role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and tax compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to details.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
