Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead our Early Years department. The successful candidate will ensure our nursery provides a safe, happy, and educational environment, maintaining the highest standards of teaching and care.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Early Years team, providing guidance, support, and coaching for excellent teaching and learning practices.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), demonstrating a strong understanding of its principles and implementation.
  • Ensure teaching practices are in line with current EYFS guidelines and requirements.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment promoting the well-being and development of all children.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment, ensuring excellent progress for all children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates and involving them in their child's education.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to teaching and learning.
  • Stay updated with best practices in Early Years education through training and conferences.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Early Years teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience in an Early Years setting.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS and its implementation across the Early Years classes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality education and care.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing or leading an Early Years department.
