1. JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and efficient network infrastructure tailored to meet the needs of our growing digital banking platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and optimizing networks, with a focus on security, performance, and scalability to support financial transactions and data flow in a regulated environment.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Design, configure, and implement network infrastructure to ensure optimal connectivity, security, and performance within the bank’s digital ecosystem.
● Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN appliances.
● Ensure network security by configuring and managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and encryption protocols.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet the bank’s needs for scalability, reliability, and security.
● Regularly assess and upgrade network infrastructure to stay ahead of technology advancements and security threats.
● Conduct routine network performance analysis and implement improvements to ensure the highest levels of uptime and customer experience.
● Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to network security and data privacy.
● Provide technical support and guidance to other teams on network-related issues.
● Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
● Provide recommendations for network capacity, load balancing, and disaster recovery strategies.
● Perform regular backups and disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.

3 COMPETENCIES
1. Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.), routing, and switching technologies.
2. Experience with networking hardware and software (Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, etc.).
3. Expertise in network security technologies, including VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SSL.
4. Understanding of cloud-based network architectures and hybrid networks.
5. Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and systems (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).
6. Knowledge of financial industry regulations (PCI DSS, ISO 27001) and how they impact network infrastructure.
7. Experience in designing secure networks for financial institutions, including multi-site and disaster recovery solutions.
8. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
● Qualification
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
● Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification (CCNP, etc.) preferred.
● At least 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on security and financial institutions.
● Experience with financial network infrastructure (e.g., ATMs, payment processing networks) is a plus.
