Nanny (With Driving Responsibilities)

Key Responsibilities

Childcare

• Supervise and care for children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Plan and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Assist with homework, playtime, and educational activities.
• Prepare meals and snacks for the children.
• Help with bathing, dressing, and ensuring personal hygiene.
• Follow daily routines, including naps, bedtime, and mealtime schedules.
• Driving Responsibilities
• Safely transport children to and from school, activities, appointments, and outings.
• Plan efficient routes and manage time effectively to ensure punctuality.
• Ensure the vehicle is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
• Follow all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
• Household Support
• Assist with light household duties related to the children, such as tidying up after meals, organizing play areas, and doing the children’s laundry.
• Keep track of and restock child-related supplies such as diapers, snacks, and school items.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children’s activities, behavior, and any concerns.

 

Health and Safety

• Prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of the children at all times.
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Follow any specific instructions related to allergies, medications, or special needs of the children.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Previous experience as a nanny or in childcare is preferred. Experience in driving children is a plus.

Skills:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of child development and the ability to engage children in age-appropriate activities.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with both children and parents.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred or required based on family’s needs).

• Trustworthy with a high level of responsibility and attentiveness.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond to children’s needs with care.

 

Working Conditions

• Environment: Work primarily within the family’s home and on outings
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry children when needed, handle physical play, and be on your feet for extended periods.
